Senior Financial Analyst

Primary Responsibility

The primary responsibilities of this position will be to provide financial planning and complex business analysis support to the Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Hosted Operations. Periodic tasks will include pricing, forecasting, budgeting, ad-hoc financial modeling, reporting and analysis. Additionally, this role will provide a financial perspective on various operating issues that arise. The Senior Financial Analyst V will be expected to eliminate non-value added activities and streamline processes while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the reporting and budgeting processes. The ability to assess current practices and develop new tools and processes along with a good understanding of both the business and accounting implications of issues are vital components of this position. Equally important is the need to work cross-functionally to effectively and proactively identify issues and achieve resolution.

This is an excellent opportunity for a business minded individual with financial and accounting experience to be involved in the financial operations aspect of the business. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Finance.


Specific Objectives:

• Assist in developing, preparing, and delivering the Company's annual operating plan, strategic plan and monthly forecasting.
• Support the Business Development team in developing complex valuation modeling and business combination financial modeling and analysis, as needed.
• Develop various metrics and other analysis tools in order to understand revenue and cost drivers.
• Develop a comprehensive pricing and margin model for product lines and business units.
• Be a trusted source of pertinent financial information upon which management can rely to make critical business decisions.
• Proactively analyze and communicate monthly variances to budget and forecast.
• Create product line financial models for profitability analysis.
• Business/Finance partnering with functional executive management.
• Responsible for ad-hoc projects and analyses as needed.
• Provide financial analysis that offers meaningful insight into the business and recommend appropriate action to enable management to more effectively manage the department.
• Create and support new and current financial models including revenue, compensation, headcount and spending.

Experience & Educational/Knowledge Requirements

• Minimum 7 - 15 years financial analysis experience in a rapidly growing high technology company.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Able to work with minimum direction.
• Pro-actively seeks out information, validates assumptions and asks questions.
• Effective verbal and written communications skills.
• Merger and acquisition experience including valuation modeling and synergy analysis.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position is located in a high rise building in downtown Portland.
