Internship Opportunity
A public affairs firm is looking for undergraduate or graduate students to serve as interns in our government relations department for the Fall 2008 semester.
We are a full-service government affairs and campaign consulting firm based in Phoenix, Arizona. The firm specializes in shaping opinion on issues through campaigns that seamlessly integrate research and polling, Executive and Legislative lobbying, grassroots and grasstops organizing, media relations, paid advertising and new media technology. We have a small staff with years of experience in government affairs and operations.
We need talented, motivated individuals interested in getting some hands-on experience in working in the government relations department, to prepare for the upcoming Arizona Legislative session and beyond. Interns will gain hands on experience on how the legislative process works and will work to pass laws, conduct research and track bills. You will work closely with our staff, most of who began careers in politics as interns and who believe strongly in providing the best experience possible for our interns.
Interested candidates must be current undergraduate or graduate students that possess strong communication and analytical skills. Students with an interest and basic understanding of Arizona government, campaigns and policies are strongly preferred. Applicants must be responsible, dedicated and able to work independently.
Students may work part time for 10 hours per week or full time for 35 hours per week depending upon individual schedule. Credit available will depend upon hours worked.
To apply, please send a resume along with a cover letter to Zelda@zwpa.com
